Stabilizer lower skin cracks

Regularly we find cracks in the 737 NG stabilizer lower skin panels, on one or both sides, at stab STA 138.

The cracks are very small and sometimes hardly visible from the ground during a walkaround check, but with a detailed inspection of this area you are able to find them if they are there. In this example 2 cracks where present, one larger and one very hardly visible one.

For the repair the stab leading edge needs to be removed as well as the web behind the leadeing edge, to get access for the repair.

A doubler is installed in this case, depending on the size of the cracks (s), all iaw SRM 55-10-01 repair 11.

Boeing issued Fleet Team Digest 737NG-FTD-55-06001 for this finding.

See pictures below as an example of the cracks we found this time.
