Scribe marks on lapjoints, extra information. 737-2/3/4/500

When you have to inspect a fuselage lapjoint or butt joint because of SB 737-53A1262, finding scribe marks can be a very difficult job. If magnified, the whole fuselage looks like there are scribelines everywhere. Therefore always use the magnifying glass as recommended and use an optical micrometer to ensure you find real scribe marks. Some pictures are made to help you recognize scribe marks and to see how it looks like through an optical micrometer. Photo’s are made with a normal digital camera, not airline / company related.
