1 - Stby
attitude indicator integral lighting block replacement.
737-6/7/8/900
This article is issued to bring to your attention that in case the integral lighting of the Standby Attitude Indicator is inoperative, you have the possibility to replace the lighting block.
The history of Standby Attitude Indicator removals show that the indicators were replaced several times to replace the lighting block in a repair shop. This is not necessary because there is a removal/installation procedure in the AMM to replace the lighting block, refer to AMM 34-24-01. Costs will be saved by performing the removal/installation on
the a/c.
The only discrepancy is that the lighting block is stowed in the Spare Bulb Stowage Box but that it is not listed in the IPC.
A supplemental IPC may be added to the official documents by your company. The p/n of the lightning block is H342AA55.

4 - Lower
anti-collision light plug removal.
737-6/7/8/900
When you replace the lower anti-collision light assy (same assy as on top of fuselage) on a NG, at the end you have to remove the plug or screw from the middle, to prevent water collecting inside the light assy. Often this plug is forgotten to take out, and the glass will collect water until the light stops working on a certain moment. Once we had a completely full light assy, so you could not see the water level, and of course the light stopped working. So remember to take out the plug or screw as showed in the example photo's. See amm 33-44-02-960-802 for full instructions.

landing lights failures in any mode. 737-6/7/8/900
Check the aircraft side connector, this often found burned and a new connector is then required.
NOTE for reference only:
If replacement is required, the following items will be required:
connector with contacts BACC63BP12C12SN
crimp tool handle M22520-1-01
crimp turret head M22520-1-02
insertion tool DAK20 or MS24256A20 or Radionics stock no. 446-181
extraction tool DRK20 or MS24256R20 or Radionics stock no. 446-204
ALWAYS ENSURE CORRECT PART NUMBERS FOR AIRCRAFT EFFECTIVITY.
